manual valves

Manual Valves are the simplest of fluid handling valves. Rather than actuating the valve stem remotely with a solenoid coil or pneumatic actuator, manual valves are actuated manually by the user.

iPolymer manufactures five types of High Purity Manual Valve:

With our focus on high purity polymers, which are commonly used in harsh - caustic environments as well as ultra clean applications, iPolymer utilizes four basic materials for construction:

  • Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
  • Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)
  • Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK)
  • Polypropylene (Polypro)

Our most popular high purity valves are manufactured from a polymer refer to as PTFE. PTFE is ideally suited for harsh chemical and corrosive media and environments. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), commonly known by its popular E.I. DuPont trade name TEFLON®, is also well suited to clean room and deionized water applications. To achieve an all-wetted-surface high purity solution the valve bodies, stems, and ports are constructed from PTFE. For standard applications, external non-wetted components are constructed from natural PVDF and Polypropylene.
